<p> With Windows SharePoint Services v3.0 new features such as the Wikis &amp; Blogs, you may want to allow access to these sites to visitors outside of your organization. Allowing Anonymous Access to your Site is the simplest solution.</p>
<p>To allow Anonymous Access, please follow the instructions below.</p>
<p><strong>How to allow Anonymous Access:</strong></p>
<p>Open the site on which you want to enable Anonymous Access</p>
<p>For Example:</p>
<p><a href="http://sp.yourdomain.com">http://sp.yourdomain..com</a></p>
<p>On the Site Actions menu top right of the web-page, click Site Settings</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled29.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-458" src="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled29.jpg" alt="" width="272" height="174" /></a></p>
<p><strong>NOTE:</strong> On a site, for which the Site Actions menu is customized, point to Site Settings and then click the settings that you want to view. On the Site Settings page, in the Users and Permissions column, click Advanced Permissions</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled30.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-459" src="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled30.jpg" alt="" width="215" height="69" /></a></p>
<p>On the Permissions page, within the Settings menu, click Anonymous Access</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled35.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-460" src="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled35.jpg" alt="" width="251" height="169" /></a></p>
<p>On the Change Anonymous Access Settings page, select the parts of your Web Site that you want to give anonymous access to</p>
<p><strong>NOTE:</strong> Once the Anonymous Access has been setup, please allow 2-3 minutes for it to take effect.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled36.jpg"><img src="http://blog.link2exchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled36-300x86.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="86" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Caution: Please note that when you enable Anonymous Access you are allowing anyone on the Internet the ability to view your content. Enabling Anonymous Access can also result in increased bandwidth usage. Try a Link2Exchange <a href="http://www.link2exchange.com/services/sharepoint/index.html">Free SharePoint Trial</a> - it comes with unlimited bandwidth and users.</strong></p>

<p>Many companies have their staff geographically dispersed making the traditional file server solution a cumbersome solution for remote workers. Who wants to deal with and support VPN connections from your main office to all your remote workers &#8211; not a fun ongoing activity. Fortunately; Microsoft has fine tuned <a href="http://www.link2exchange.com/services/sharepoint/index.html">SharePoint Services</a> for remote access to files. Best of all its jam packed with team collaboration tools that integrate nicely with <a href="http://www.link2exchange.com/services/exchange/single.htm">Microsoft Exchange</a> and Outlook.</p>
<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to access, edit and store your files on a secure remote server that you could access from any computer connected to the internet..even your mobile PDA phone?</p>
<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be unreal to get an automatic email notification when one of your team members updates or adds a file to a particular folder?</p>
<p>This is just the tip of the iceberg on what <a href="http://www.link2exchange.com/services/sharepoint/index.html">Hosted SharePoint</a> can do for you and your team.</p>
